We highly recommend (and require, in the Terms of Service — opens in a new window) that you use your legal name. It’ll save you some trouble if a project leads to or is part of employment.

Give us, and people who find you while looking for help, an idea of who you are and what sort of work you do or like to do. Feel free to include interesting experience, if you like, but keep it short. The longer you write, the less likely the reader is still paying attention. For example, is anybody still reading this paragraph?

Skills are eManagr’s main way of finding teammates, so treat it as you would a résumé. Type the name of one skill in the empty box above; if we have already thought of it, we’ll automatically suggest it, to save you typing. Also, rate your ability in this area from one to five stars. If you don’t want to show the skill, click the delete icon (the curved left-pointing “undo” arrow to the right). If you have more skills, you can click “Add a Skill.”

As with your name, we strongly recommend a user name that projects a professional image, assuming you will interact with prospective employers. Your profile will be accessible by this name, and suggesting that people view http://emanagr.com/users/moron might not project the right image.

Your e-mail address must be valid. Without it, you will be unable to activate your account and log back in.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account, so select a strong password. Better too complicated than too easy, because you can always have your password reset, if you forget it.

The terms will open in a new window, so you can read it without worrying about losing your information on this page.

Privacy policy? What privacy policy? OK. We won’t use your information except to directly contact you regarding service here at eManagr, professional account or not. We obviously also access the content to provide the statistics that make up the profile and may use them to help prevent service problems. If we later decide we might send you announcements of other sorts or share any information with a third party, you’ll have an opportunity to opt out before we implement that decision. The only exception would be in response to a valid search warrant.
